Happy New Year!
We’re on our way! Our team headed out early this morning to begin the journey to Atlanta. This year looks a little different than usual—we’re traveling in two vehicles, so we’re breaking up the drive with an overnight stop in Bowling Green, KY.
We also want to take a moment to recognize and thank SEAS (Sailing Education Association of Sheboygan). For many years, they generously provided a 15-passenger van free of charge so we could safely transport mission teams to Atlanta. I’m pretty sure I’ve put more miles on that van than anyone who actually works at SEAS! We are incredibly grateful for their long-standing support (10 plus years).
I also want to thank Jerry Warmus (though I am sure he'd rather I didn't mention his name) for finding and picking up rental vehicles for us to drive down this year. It was a huge help!
Staying in a hotel is a first, but it has provided a great opportunity to meet together as a team, have devotions and prep for our time in Atlanta. Tonight we spent time reading and reflecting on Psalm 23. This particular passage is a passage recited by the men in the ministry each morning.
We are currently settled in and will be heading out tomorrow morning around 9:30 am.
I am hoping to update the blog each night before I go to sleep so I will likely be posting late each night (shortly before midnight). Each post will include pictures of the day along with reflections from a couple team members.
We covet your prayers and we look forward to seeing what God will teach us, how he will soften our hearts and how he will grow our love for doing his work as he deepens our understanding of his love for us.
Thank you for your prayers and for checking out our blog! Please leave us a comment. We'd love to hear from you!
